About Us

At Touchstone you won’t get lots of complex talk about methodology and analysis.  Sure, we do know most of the major systems, the way they work, their strengths and weaknesses, but what we’re interested in is what the research means for our clients.

We’ve worked on both sides of the fence, buying as well as selling research and we know that, ultimately, research lives or dies by its ability to enthuse people in the organisation.  It’s our job to design research that is practical, that enthuses and gives direction that is readily applied.

That’s why we use key words repeatedly in what we do and how we think:

Clear headed. We work hard to make things clear and easy to understand.  If we’re not sure about something we will ask and we hope that you would do the same of us

Pragmatic. We will always design the best work that is available, within cost or other constraints that are applied.  It’s remarkable what can be drawn out of tight budgets and / or timings these days!

Innovative. But only when it helps deliver better information.  We have designed  many groundbreaking projects - but this has always been in order to give the best delivery of information and recommendations.

Insightful. We have built our whole business model on delivering insight. Not on having the best panel or telephone unit, or the most qualified IT or DP department, but on delivering insight.  Because we’ve worked in a lot of places, using a lot of different methods and applications we are able to work harder than most on identifying and delivering the insight.  And it works.

Flexibility. We work with a wide range of highly skilled suppliers and can turn work round as fast as is needed.  It’s in the planning and the application of that planning where things work or fall down - and we don’t let things fall down (we’ve dug clients out of jams on various occasions...)

Curious. We love finding out what makes people tick, what the triggers and barriers are to things happening and advising what can be done to capitalise on triggers and overcome barriers.  We’re never tired of asking questions

Fun. There’s no point doing anything if you don’t enjoy it!
